  • What?

    Emochila (e-mo-chee-la)
Mochila is Spanish for backpack. We use it to represent our suite of client retention and aquisition tools. The E is for Electronic, meaning you can use everything with just a computer and an internet connection.

  • Overview

Emochila has maintained its loyal client base by giving detailed attention and service to each and every client. Though our offering provides hundreds of web tools and pages of accounting content, we inherently believe that each firm is unique and their website is the best way to convey that. Thus our goal is to level the playing field by offering a full suite of online tools and content to firms of all sizes, while also tailoring each site to accurately represent the individuality of the firm.

  • background

Emochila was founded by Chad Brubaker and Justin Curzi in 2003. Both were young expatriates living in Rio de Janiero, Brazil seeking adventure and new opportunities. Chad had begun his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting with Fortune 500 companies on Internet Security. Meanwhile, Justin was working at a prominent Wall Street investment boutique refining his financial analysis and consulting skills. After meeting on the sandy beaches of Rio, they asked themselves: why can't we build websites for accountants that have all the bells and whistles of massive accounting firm websites, and leverage that for small to mid-sized accounting firms? With a new mission, they developed the answer to this question with the powerful website building tool SiteWizard, a proprietary platform for serving high-powered, sleek websites.

After refining the software and constructing a viable business and marketing plan, they returned to the United States. Landing in San Francisco, the heart of Silicon Valley, they had infinite access to all of the web-based knowledge and resources in the area. After selling their first CPA website, they spent the following years reinvesting every cent into making Emochila the premier website design firm for accountants. Now in its 4th iteration, SiteWizard continues to reliably host thousands of websites, with a constantly improving level of functionality and flexibility that allows Emochila to serve firms of all sizes. The Emochila team is now made up of over 20 talented and passionate employees that are always seeking to improve their offering and client satisfaction.
